PosteCSTM
- Benefits

Tracking

PosteCS™ is an Internet-based document delivery service that allows you to send electronic documents securely. PosteCS is fast and convenient. You can send documents 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to anyone in the world with an Internet e-mail address and a Web browser.

The Tracking feature of PosteCS provides information about deliveries sent from your personal PosteCS account. You’ll be most interested in knowing if your document reached your intended recipient and if your recipient has accessed the document. A simple click on the Tracking button displayed on any PosteCS screen will open up on a Delivery Log of all deliveries you have sent by PosteCS. You can customize this Delivery Log to give you the information you want in the way you want it by using the Preferences button at the top of the Delivery Log screen.

The basic format for the Log displays the Send Date, Subject, Recipient(s) and Status Icon depicting the following :

  • the recipient has been notified of a document delivery
  • the recipient has received the delivery
  • non-deliverable due to an invalid e-mail address

But that’s not all the information in the Tracking Report. On the Delivery Log, click in the Subject box to open up a Delivery Detail report. In this report you will have listed the delivery status details; recipients and times of receipt with one of the quick view icons above providing a status. The Package details include, the Subject, the package content, the Electronic Postmark, the Date Sent, the Send Options you selected; the Scheduled date for delivery, the Expiry Date of the delivery, the Security options, a Billing Code if you applied one, Receipt Notification, if requested.

If you have a Delivery Log several pages (screens) long, you can Search for information about a specific delivery by clicking on Search at the top of the screen. There are ten search criteria :

  • To : to search by full or partial e-mail address
  • Subject : to enter a key word that might be in the subject field
  • Document : to enter a file name to perform a text search
  • Sent : to search on a specific date
  • Scheduled : to search based on Scheduled Notification date
  • Expire : to search based on the Document Expiration date
  • Notified : searches for deliveries whose recipients were notified on the specified date
  • Received : to search deliveries received on the specified date
  • Status : to select from a menu of delivery status
  • Billing Code : to search based on a billing code specified at the time of the creation of the new package

The search results are reported in a Tracking Report which can be easily customized to suit your needs.
