Canada Post has an armful of useful services to help you make a smooth move to your new address.

Plan your move

smartmoves™

Take the time to plan your move in advance with the help of Canada Post’s smartmoves. The site offers a handy checklist with numerous suggested tasks to attend to before you move. You can add your own tasks to the existing list and remove irrelevant ones, organize tasks by due date and check items off as you go.

Change your address online

Save time and change your address online. The Permanent change of address service is available for a six-to twelve-month period for both customers and businesses. You can renew the service as many times as you like for the current renewal price.

Residential customers should change their address at least three business days before moving to ensure that their mail is redirected on time. There is no charge to redirect mail on behalf of a deceased person’s estate (only available at a Postal Station).
