Robert Waite
Robert Waite is Senior Vice President, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) for Canada Post. He is Chair of the Stamp Advisory Committee and the Sponsorship and Donations Committee and oversees stamp design, sponsorship, donations and community relations, including sponsorship arrangements related to the 2010 Vancouver Olympic Games.
Mr. Waite has more than 30 years of experience running communications, marketing and government relations organizations in the public and private sectors. Employers included CIBC, CAE Inc., IBM Canada, Ford of Canada, the Export-Import Bank of the United States and as Press Secretary for two United States Senators, Bob Dole of Kansas and Edward W. Brooke of Massachusetts. Mr. Waite began his career as a journalist, covering national affairs in the United States and serving as a correspondent in Eastern Europe.
Married to Karen Shigeishi-Waite, he has two children, Joseph Wataru and Emily Akada.
